Bakersfield, CA (September 11, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash involving a reservoir left one person with minor injuries Wednesday, September 9, on Wildwood Rd near Pond Rd.
According to the California Highway Patrol report, two vehicles were involved in the collision, with one vehicle entering the reservoir. The vehicle that went into the water was identified as a gray 2017 Nissan.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the reservoir was approximately 50 feet deep and a rotator would be needed to remove the vehicle. Occupants were reported to be outside the vehicles, and emergency crews were responding to assess the scene.
