Grand Rapids, MI (August 13, 2026) – One person was injured after an asphalt truck tipped over on southbound US-131 near Burton Street during Wednesday afternoon’s rush hour on August 12 in Grand Rapids.
According to WZZM 13, the crash prompted the closure of southbound US-131 at the Burton Street exit. The overturned truck caused significant traffic disruptions as crews responded and worked to clear the freeway.
One person was reported injured in the crash. Motorists traveling through the area were advised to expect delays while the roadway was closed and emergency crews worked at the scene.
