Camden County, MO (June 14, 2026) – One person was killed, and another suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash on Friday evening, June 12, in Camden County.
The collision occurred at 6:22 p.m. along MO-5 at the Niangua Bridge. Earlier information says a 2018 BMW X3 traveling southbound collided head-on with a northbound 2004 Toyota Highlander.
Emergency units responded to the scene and found both vehicles with extensive damage. A 63-year-old man driving the Toyota Highlander suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital. A 22-year-old male occupant of the BMW was airlifted to the University Hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities confirmed both vehicles sustained total damage and were removed from the scene. The crash was investigated by troopers with assistance from additional responding units.
