Matthews, MO (September 8, 2026) – A 29-year-old man suffered serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash Monday, September 7, on Missouri Highway FF at County Road 820, about four miles west of Matthews.
According to the crash report, the collision occurred at approximately 5:42 p.m. A 2024 Ford Ranger driven by a 40-year-old woman from Canalou was traveling westbound when it failed to yield to a southbound 2013 Hyundai Accent driven by a 29-year-old man from Canalou.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by D&K. The male driver of the Hyundai was wearing a safety device and suffered serious injuries.
The injured driver was transported by Air Evac to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment. The report does not provide additional information about the woman’s condition.
The crash was investigated by Sgt. B.A. Pratt. The circumstances documented in the report indicate that the Ford Ranger’s failure to yield preceded the collision.
