Reno, NV (July 31, 2026) – One person was seriously hurt after a collision involving a dump truck and an SUV on Thursday morning on SR-341 east of S. Virginia St in Washoe County. The accident was reported at approximately 10:23 a.m.
The two-vehicle collision occurred between S. Virginia St and the Veterans Pkwy roundabout in South Reno. One occupant was extricated from a vehicle before being taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. No identities were released following the wreck.
SR-341 was closed in both directions while emergency units worked at the roadway. All lanes reopened by approximately 3:45 p.m. The cause of the collision remains under investigation as investigators continue reviewing the circumstances.
