Harlem, NY (June 19, 2026) – A 13-year-old boy died, and a 14-year-old boy was injured on Thursday night, June 18, after a crash involving a motorized scooter and an SUV in Harlem.
The collision happened just before 8:50 p.m. on West 112th Street, near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. Police said the two teens were riding a motorized scooter when a Chevy Tahoe turned left onto West 112th Street and collided head-on with them.
The 13-year-old boy had a head injury and was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The 14-year-old boy was also brought to a hospital with a leg injury and was listed in stable condition.
