Why Building Crashes Can Create Added Rescue Risks
Crashes into buildings can be dangerous because crews must check both the vehicle and the structure. Walls, windows, furniture, and broken materials can shift after the first impact.
When someone is trapped inside a car, emergency units may need to stabilize the vehicle before removing the person. They may also check for fuel leaks, electrical dangers, and loose debris nearby.
Open businesses can add another layer of concern. Customers and employees may need to be moved away while crews inspect the damage. Later updates may explain more about the vehicle’s path, the passenger’s medical status, and the building repairs needed after the wreck.
