Sanford, ME (June 2, 2026) – One person was hurt following a four-vehicle crash involving a school bus in Sanford. The collision happened around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Route 4 and School Street.
Police said an RSU 57 bus carrying Massabesic High School students to the Sanford Regional Technical Center was rear-ended by a car. Investigators reported that the vehicle that struck the bus was part of a chain-reaction crash involving multiple cars.
One person from one of the passenger vehicles was injured, though the extent of those injuries has not been released. Officials confirmed that no students or staff aboard the bus were hurt in the collision. We are thinking of the person injured and hoping for a full recovery.
