Orange, TX (January 7, 2026) – A tragic crash on Tuesday evening claimed the life of a man riding a bicycle along the eastbound service road of Interstate 10 in Orange. Authorities confirmed the fatal collision occurred around 7 p.m. in the 3000 block of the I-10 South Service Rd, just past the Martin Luther King Jr. overpass near the Woodlark exit.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the bicyclist unresponsive. According to Orange County Justice of the Peace Precinct One Herschel Stagner, the man was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained on-site and cooperated with authorities during the initial investigation. At this time, no additional information about the victim or the events leading up to the collision has been released. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the deadly incident.
