Osage County, KS (May 16, 2026) – One adult and two children were injured following a four-vehicle crash on US-56 at S Berryton Rd in Osage County.
Emergency units responded to the collision at the intersection of US-56 Highway and S Berryton Rd. Officials said four vehicles were involved in the accident, and three sustained major damage. An adult and two children were transported to a Topeka-area hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. Three other people involved in the collision declined medical treatment at the scene.
The crash caused both directions of US-56 between California Rd and Croco Rd to close for about an hour and a half while crews worked in the area and cleared the roadway. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
