PARAMOUNT, Los Angeles County, Calif., Nov. 1, 2026 — A hit-and-run crash left at least one person injured early Saturday morning, October 31, on the westbound Rosecrans Avenue onramp to northbound Interstate 710 in Paramount, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported before 6 a.m. on the onramp, where a gray sedan reportedly collided with the right shoulder embankment. A blue sedan was also involved in a related collision on the shoulder. One caller reportedly told dispatchers a vehicle appeared to have rolled over, though that detail was not confirmed in later updates.
A gray or black Dodge Charger was seen stopped on the right shoulder of the onramp, and callers suggested it may have been involved in the collision before leaving the scene. The driver believed responsible had not been located as of the final updates to the incident log.
Crews requested information on transport from fire personnel responding to the scene, and a tow truck was called to remove at least one damaged vehicle. Caltrans was notified of about 80 feet of damaged guardrail along the onramp. The onramp was closed for a time and a SigAlert was issued while crews worked, backing up traffic before lanes reopened. CHP closed its incident report shortly after 7:27 a.m.
The crash remains under review. We wish the injured a swift and full recovery.
