Jean, NV (August 13, 2026) – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on northbound Interstate 15 in the Jean area on Tuesday, August 11.
The crash happened around 12:11 p.m. near mile marker 12, according to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol. The pedestrian, identified as an adult woman, was transported by medical helicopter to a hospital with critical injuries.
Law enforcement blocked the northbound side of I-15 while emergency crews responded and investigators worked at the scene. Drivers were directed to exit at State Route 161, resulting in several miles of traffic backup. All lanes had reopened by approximately 2:05 p.m.
The circumstances leading to the crash were not immediately disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing, and we hope the injured woman makes a full recovery.
