Sanford, FL (June 21, 2026) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of French Ave and 27th St in Sanford late Friday night, June 19.
According to the Sanford Police Department, officers heard the collision at approximately 11:00 p.m. and responded to the area to investigate. Upon arrival, they located a pedestrian who had been struck in the roadway.
Authorities reported that the driver involved remained at the scene following the crash and cooperated with responding officers.
Emergency personnel transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, the victim later succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
