Austin, TX (August 22, 2026) – An adult pedestrian died on Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle on a ramp in southeast Austin.
The accident happened around 9:18 p.m. on the ramp connecting westbound East SH 71 to northbound US 183. Medics found an adult patient at the site and pronounced the person dead there.
The initial report did not release the pedestrian’s identity. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
