Henrico, VA (August 14, 2026) – On Wednesday, August 12, a pedestrian was fatally struck by an unknown type of vehicle on I-295 S near mile marker 21 in Henrico County. Emergency units arrived after the person was struck, but the vehicle involved had not been identified in the initial report.
The southbound lanes were expected to experience delays because of a lane closure following the wreck. No additional details about the pedestrian or the circumstances leading to the accident were immediately available. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
