Marion County, MO (September 12, 2026) – A 24-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a Toyota Camry Solara early on Thursday morning on Missouri Route 168 in Marion County. The crash occurred about seven miles east of Palmyra around 1:50 a.m. on September 10.
The vehicle was traveling east when it struck the pedestrian in the roadway. The 24-year-old man, who was from Shelbina, was pronounced dead at about 2:13 a.m.
The driver, a 42-year-old man from Monroe City, was not reported injured. The Toyota sustained minor damage and was driven from the site. The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash remain under investigation.
