Honolulu, HI (August 1, 2026) – A woman died on Thursday after a vehicle struck her in the La Tour Plaza parking lot near Alakawa St and Nimitz Hwy in Iwilei. The collision happened around 1:45 p.m.
The Honolulu medical examiner identified the woman as Linda Dyer, 65, of Pearl City. Police said a 57-year-old driver was reversing from a marked parking stall when the vehicle struck Dyer.
Emergency units provided advanced life support and took Dyer to an emergency room, where she later died. Police said the driver stayed at the parking lot and was not hurt. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors, while the possible role of drugs was not confirmed.
