Houston, TX (September 11, 2026) – A 72-year-old woman was killed on Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle near the Texas Medical Center in Houston. The accident happened around 5 a.m. at Fannin Street and Old Spanish Trail.
The woman was walking in a crosswalk with a walker when a white Nissan Altima traveling west on Old Spanish Trail struck her. The driver had a green light and remained at the scene after the collision.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she later died. She was not publicly identified. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation, with the case expected to be reviewed by a grand jury.
