Raleigh, NC (June 15, 2026) – In the early hours of Saturday, June 13, around 3:15 a.m., a 32-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Buffaloe Road in Raleigh.
According to reports, Detrick Arnold was in the roadway near Oates Drive when he was struck by a large SUV. The driver of the SUV fled the scene following the collision. The Police said at least one additional vehicle subsequently ran over Arnold while he was in the roadway; he died as a result of his injuries.
Investigators have not determined whether Arnold was crossing the street, walking along the road, or standing in the roadway at the time of the incident. Officials are searching for the driver of the SUV involved in the initial collision.
