Chesterfield County, VA (August 21, 2026) – A 39-year-old Chesterfield County man died after a driver struck him while he was walking on a sidewalk on Tuesday, August 20.
The collision occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of Willis Road. Benjamin Dotson was walking along the sidewalk when a driver traveling west on Willis Road hit him before leaving the scene.
Dotson was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died from those injuries.
The driver involved had not been identified as of the latest report. The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
