Sacramento, CA (June 28, 2026) – A pedestrian was killed in a traffic collision early on Monday on Watt Avenue near Kings Way in Sacramento.
According to dispatch information, the call came in shortly after 12:14 a.m. Initial reports indicated that all southbound lanes were closed as emergency units worked on the roadway. A short time later, the report was updated to show that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian, and the person’s injuries were first described as major before the case was later reclassified as a fatality.
The identity of the person who died has not been released. Additional details about what led up to the collision were not available at the time of publication.
