Phoenix, AZ (July 12, 2026) – A man succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a vehicle early on Friday morning, July 10, near the intersection of 15th Avenue and Clarendon Avenue in central Phoenix. The crash was reported around 5 a.m.
EMS and Fire crews received reports of a 40-year-old man lying in the roadway before officers were notified that he had been hit by a vehicle. The man was taken to a hospital with extremely critical injuries, where he later died.
The victim’s identity has not been released. Investigators said the man was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. The driver remained at the scene, and officials said speed or impairment are not believed to have contributed. We extend our sympathy to those mourning this loss.
