Why Rollover Crashes Usually Lead to Serious Injuries
Rollover accidents can occur when a vehicle experiences a sudden shift in momentum during a collision or leaves the roadway and strikes an object. These crashes may involve a single vehicle or multiple vehicles and frequently result in significant damage.
Because occupants can be subjected to impacts from multiple directions, rollover crashes frequently carry a higher risk of injury than many other types of collisions. Vehicle design, speed, roadway conditions, and the angle of impact can all influence whether a vehicle overturns.
Investigators reviewing rollover crashes examine vehicle damage, tire marks, roadway evidence, and witness statements to better understand how the incident occurred. These details can help establish the sequence of events and identify contributing factors.
