Little River, SC (August 15, 2026) – According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a pedestrian died after being struck by an SUV on Horseshoe Road in the Little River area on Thursday night, August 13. The crash happened near Greenhead Road at approximately 8:33 p.m.
A 2016 GMC Yukon was traveling east when it struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway. EMS took the pedestrian to a hospital, where the person later died. The pedestrian’s name has not been released. No one inside the GMC was injured in the collision. The crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
