East Naples, FL (August 27, 2026) – One person was seriously injured after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash on Wednesday night, August 26, in East Naples.
Greater Naples Fire and Collier EMS responded to the intersection of Tamiami Trail East and Thomason Drive around 9:46 p.m. According to fire and EMS radio traffic, crews found two heavily damaged vehicles and an injured person lying on the ground with head injuries.
The patient was declared a trauma alert and transported to NCH Downtown for treatment. Most eastbound lanes of Tamiami Trail were closed while emergency crews responded to the scene.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
