Parkersburg, IN (July 8, 2026) – A Crawfordsville man died after a two-vehicle collision early Monday, July 6, at U.S. 231 South and Spring Road in Montgomery County. The accident was reported just after 6:30 a.m.
The wreck involved a GMC Sierra pickup truck and a tri-axle dump truck. Early reports indicated that the dump truck caught fire after the vehicles collided.
Both vehicles left the road, and the dump truck came to a stop against a power pole. The GMC driver was identified as 52-year-old Kyle Blaydes of Crawfordsville, who died at the scene. The 55-year-old dump truck driver, also from Crawfordsville, was not hurt.
