Pleasant Township, OH (May 19, 2026) – A 54-year-old motorcyclist lost his life Monday evening following a collision with a passenger vehicle at the intersection of White Oaks Rd and State Rte 4 in Pleasant Township.
According to reports, the accident happened around 6 p.m. Investigators said a 16-year-old driver failed to yield while turning, resulting in a collision with a motorcycle attempting to turn left onto White Oaks Rd.
The motorcyclist, identified as Shawn Woolum, was thrown from the motorcycle during the impact. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Officials said the teenage driver suffered minor injuries and received treatment following the crash. No charges have been announced in connection with the accident, but they continue to investigate the cause of the collision, and more details will be released as they become available.
