Savannah, GA (August 1, 2026) – A crash involving a Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools Board of Education Police vehicle and a Nissan Sentra happened on Thursday afternoon on Ogeechee Rd near Cottonvale. Traffic moved slowly while the area was cleared.
Police said the Nissan driver was found to be at fault in the collision. The Nissan driver did not need medical treatment after the crash.
The driver of the Board of Education Police vehicle was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening. The circumstances surrounding the collision continue to be reviewed.
