Prince George’s County, MD (February 27, 2026) – At least one person was killed in a wrong-way crash on Friday, February 27, on Indian Head Hwy (MD-210) near the I-495 overpass in Prince George’s County. Emergency units responded after two vehicles collided head-on as traffic approached the Capital Beltway.
Officials said one of the vehicles was traveling in the wrong direction and entered the oncoming lanes before the crash occurred. The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles, and at least one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
The collision caused major disruptions along the highway as crews worked to clear the wreckage. No additional information about other injuries has been released at this time.
