Providence, RI (January 13, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision on the ramp from Interstate 95 to Route 10 South resulted in five people being injured on January 12. The crash occurred during midday hours and prompted a large-scale response from multiple Providence fire and rescue units.
Fire crews arrived to find two vehicles off to the right side of the ramp. Emergency responders, including Ladder 2, Engine 5, Engine 2, and several rescue teams, coordinated efforts to treat and assess all occupants. According to reports from the scene, five individuals sustained neck and back injuries requiring medical attention.
Rescue units worked to determine transport needs, with additional ambulances requested to accommodate all five patients. Authorities confirmed that multiple rescues were en route to ensure each patient could be taken to a medical facility for further care.
Traffic in the area was impacted as responders managed the scene and worked to safely remove vehicles and assist victims. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
