Crashes involving older passengers can result in more severe outcomes
Older adults are often more vulnerable to serious injuries in vehicle crashes due to factors such as decreased bone strength and overall physical resilience. Even collisions that might be survivable for younger individuals can have life-threatening consequences for elderly passengers.
In many cases, injuries may not appear immediately severe but can worsen over time. This is why prompt medical evaluation is critical after any crash, especially for older individuals.
Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution, particularly in busy areas like major avenues and intersections, to help reduce the risk of collisions and protect all road users.
