Rancho Cucamonga, CA (January 8, 2026) – A man was killed Monday evening after being struck by an SUV while crossing Foothill Blvd in Rancho Cucamonga, according to authorities.
The fatal crash occurred around 6:13 p.m. on January 5 at the intersection of W. Foothill Blvd and Lion St. Investigators reported that the pedestrian was crossing the roadway on foot when he was hit by a Dodge Durango SUV driven by a 17-year-old male traveling through the intersection.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and located the adult male victim, a Rancho Cucamonga resident, who was pronounced deceased on-site due to his injuries. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of his next of kin.
The teen driver, a resident of Ontario, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities have not indicated that impairment or speed was a factor, and no arrests have been announced.
