Reno, NV (April 17, 2026) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night, April 15, in Reno. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wells Avenue and Ryland Street.
Emergency units responded to the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to a nearby hospital. Despite medical care, the person later died from their injuries. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The roadway was closed for several hours as crews worked in the area before reopening later that night.
