Richland, WA (March 28, 2026) – An 11-year-old child was struck by a vehicle on Friday afternoon in Richland, according to initial emergency reports.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:26 p.m. in the area of 1524 Jadwin Avenue. Scanner traffic indicated the crash involved a pedestrian, with the child remaining conscious following the impact. Emergency crews, including Richland Fire units Engine 1713 and Medic 1721, responded to the scene and began evaluating the child around 1:31 p.m. The extent of the injuries has not yet been fully released.
Authorities said the vehicle involved, described as a gray Toyota Tacoma TRD, initially attempted to leave the scene before pulling into a nearby plaza parking lot, possibly near a pediatric therapy center.
