Richmond, VA (January 21, 2026) – A motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95 northbound near mile marker 73 left one person injured on Tuesday afternoon, according to initial dispatch reports.
The crash occurred around 12:35 p.m. and involved vehicles pulled over onto the shoulder. Virginia State Police were already on scene when Richmond Fire units, including Engine 20, Engine 21, and Truck 10, responded to assist. One individual at the scene reported back pain and was evaluated by emergency medical personnel.
Traffic in the area remained slow as crews addressed the situation and ensured the safety of other drivers. The crash site was later cleared, and no major road closures were reported.
