Richmond, VA (January 19, 2026) – A scooter rider was injured Saturday evening following a suspected hit-and-run collision near the intersection of South Belvidere Street and West Main Street in Richmond’s 23220 area.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly before 7:00 p.m. after reports indicated a scooter rider had been struck by a vehicle that fled the area. Multiple fire units, including Engine 6, were dispatched to assist with the incident.
Upon arrival, responders found the rider injured in the roadway and provided immediate medical attention. The severity of the injuries has not yet been confirmed, but the victim was treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
