Norridgewock, ME (July 15, 2026) – According to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, a motorcyclist was killed after their motorcycle collided with a Jeep at the intersection of Bridge Street and River Road in Norridgewock on Tuesday morning, July 14, around 9:30 a.m.
Joshua Poissonnier was riding a Harley-Davidson north on Bridge Street when a Jeep Liberty entered the roadway from River Road. Investigators said the Jeep driver failed to yield, causing the collision. Poissonnier was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. The Jeep driver sustained minor injuries.
Authorities said they believe driver inattention and failure to yield were the primary factors in the crash, and they do not suspect intoxicants were involved. No charges have been filed, although the case remains under review. We sympathise with the loved ones of Joshua Poissonnier.
