Ellettsville, IN (August 21, 2026) – According to official reports, a 49-year-old Bloomington man was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash Thursday evening in Monroe County. The collision happened around 7:45 p.m. on August 20 at North Starnes Road and West Reeves Road, just west of Ellettsville.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on North Starnes Road when it collided with a Ford Fusion traveling west on West Reeves Road. The motorcyclist died from his injuries. The 16-year-old girl from Spencer, Indiana, who was driving the Ford, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The crash investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
