Orland, CA (September 6, 2026) – A 55-year-old Orland man was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV early on Friday morning near Orland. The crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. on September 4 near County Road 20 and County Road P.
The motorcyclist was traveling west on County Road 20 as a 2018 Kia Niro approached the intersection northbound on County Road P. The motorcycle struck the side of the Kia after the rider failed to stop at the intersection. The Kia was driven by 30-year-old Chico woman Krista Hill.
The motorcyclist’s name has not been released pending notification of his family. The incident remains under investigation, including whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
