Rochester, NY (January 11, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a severe crash involving people trapped inside a vehicle on Saturday at the intersection of W Ridge Rd and Palm St in Rochester.
The collision occurred in the afternoon and involved at least two vehicles, one of which sustained significant damage, leading to the entrapment of occupants. Rochester Fire and EMS units arrived promptly and initiated rescue operations to safely extract the individuals from the wreckage.
Firefighters used specialized equipment to remove at least one person from the vehicle. Paramedics provided immediate care to the injured at the scene and transported them to a local hospital for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been confirmed, but the incident was classified as a high-priority response due to the entrapment.
The intersection at W Ridge Rd and Palm St was temporarily closed while responders worked to secure the area and begin their investigation. Tow crews were later called to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway.
