Sacramento, CA (January 16, 2026) – A person was injured following a traffic collision involving a semi-truck and an SUV on southbound Interstate 5 near Arena Blvd on Thursday evening, according to emergency dispatch information.

The incident occurred around 6:05 p.m. on January 15. Authorities responded to reports of a crash involving a white semi-truck and a gray SUV that were blocking at least one lane of traffic.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Fire crews were dispatched to assist with extrication and provide medical care to the injured. The current condition of the person has not been released.
