Sacramento, CA (January 19, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured in a suspected hit-and-run collision early Sunday morning near the intersection of West El Camino Ave and Western Ave in Sacramento.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 6:33 a.m. following reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian incident. According to initial dispatch communications, the pedestrian was found conscious and breathing but in need of immediate medical attention.
Responders confirmed that the individual sustained a broken leg and was treated on site before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
The vehicle involved—a red four-door sedan, possibly a Cadillac—fled the scene before officers arrived. Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the driver, and no arrests have been made.
Law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances of the incident and is working to locate the suspect vehicle.
