SAN CLEMENTE, San Diego County, CA, Sept. 27, 2026 — A chain-reaction crash involving four to five vehicles shut down lanes on southbound I-5 near Cristianitos Road early Saturday morning, September 26, the California Highway Patrol reported. The CHP said its incident was closed by around 7:58 a.m., though cleanup and vehicle removal continued into the morning.
