San Diego, CA (January 28, 2026) – A 62-year-old man was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital early Tuesday morning after being injured in a multi-vehicle collision near Frost St in San Diego.
The crash occurred when the man’s sedan, which was reportedly stopped in traffic, was rear-ended and pushed into another vehicle ahead of him. Following the impact, he began experiencing pain in his neck and lower back. Responding medics noted visible swelling in both areas and some redness, though no external bruising or abrasions were observed.
Paramedics placed the man in a C-collar and supine position as a precaution due to the nature of the injuries. He was alert and oriented upon assessment. His vital signs were stable, with a blood pressure of 162/78, a pulse of 70, and oxygen saturation at 100% on room air. EMS personnel initiated IV access and monitored his condition en route.
The man was taken to Sharp Memorial as a special consideration trauma patient. His medical history included a possible blood thinner, though he was unsure if he was currently taking it.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and have not released information regarding the other drivers involved.
We extend our best wishes to the injured man and hope for a smooth and full recovery.
