San Diego, CA (January 25, 2026) – A serious vehicle crash on Fifth Ave in San Diego left one passenger critically injured Friday night. The incident occurred around 8:21 p.m. and involved a person who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

First responders began emergency treatment on-site, including ventilation support, before transporting the patient to Mercy Hospital with a reported heart rate of 130 and oxygen saturation at 78 percent.
