San Diego, CA (January 12, 2026) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an early morning crash Saturday on the 905 Freeway near La Media Rd, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred at approximately 5:25 a.m. on January 10.
Initial reports indicate that a motorcycle and a Volkswagen Jetta were involved in the crash under circumstances that have not yet been determined. Emergency responders arrived promptly and provided aid to the injured motorcyclist, who was then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The current condition of the victim has not been released.
Traffic was impacted in the area as officials worked to clear the scene and begin their investigation. Authorities have not said whether any citations have been issued or if impairment was suspected.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision and will release further information as it becomes available.
