Fresno, CA (January 12, 2026) – A woman in her late 20s was struck and seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash Saturday evening at the intersection of Ashlan Ave and Blackstone Ave in Fresno. The incident occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on January 10, according to the Fresno Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene to find the woman lying in the roadway with serious injuries. Emergency medical personnel provided life-saving care before transporting her to a local hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
Investigators say the woman was hit under unclear circumstances as she crossed the intersection. The driver of the vehicle initially fled the scene but was later located and detained by authorities in the parking lot of a nearby Walmart.
