San Francisco, CA (January 5, 2026) – A crash at the intersection of Junipero Serra Boulevard and Brotherhood Way late Thursday morning left multiple people injured and disrupted traffic in the southwestern part of the city.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:02 a.m. near the busy interchange that connects to I-280. The vehicles involved sustained moderate damage, and the crash occurred during a time of steady traffic flow through the area.
Several individuals were assessed by medical personnel at the scene. At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Emergency crews reported a range of injuries, but no life-threatening conditions have been confirmed at this time.
First responders temporarily closed lanes on both Junipero Serra Blvd and Brotherhood Way while they cleared debris and completed initial evaluations. Traffic was rerouted around the scene until normal flow was restored later in the morning.
The San Francisco Police Department is leading the investigation. Authorities are working to determine if factors such as speeding, lane merging, or driver distraction contributed to the incident.
