San Francisco, CA (January 15, 2026) – A scooter rider was injured in a collision early Wednesday evening in San Francisco’s South Beach neighborhood, near the 350 block of 2nd St.
The crash occurred around 6:21 p.m., just blocks from Oracle Park. According to preliminary reports, the individual operating the scooter was involved in a collision with a vehicle while traveling northbound on 2nd St, near the intersection with Harrison St. The impact caused the rider to be thrown onto the pavement.
Bystanders quickly contacted emergency services, and medics arrived shortly after to provide assistance. The injured scooterist was treated on site for a variety of injuries before being transported to a nearby hospital for additional care. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or current condition.
Police briefly restricted traffic on 2nd St while crews cleared the scene and initiated an investigation. The roadway was reopened later that evening.
Officers are continuing to examine the events leading up to the crash and whether right-of-way or visibility issues contributed. No citations have been reported at this time.
