Sarasota County, FL (January 24, 2026) – An early morning accident on the southbound side of I-75 resulted in reported injuries on Friday, January 23, in Sarasota County.
The crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. near the 210000 block of S I-75. Sarasota County Fire Department and EMS units responded quickly to the scene, where at least one person was evaluated for injuries. Officials have not yet confirmed how many individuals were involved or the severity of the injuries sustained.
The incident took place on January 23 during early commuter hours, a time when interstate traffic is typically heavy. The crash caused temporary delays in the southbound lanes while responders assisted victims and worked to clear the roadway.
Once emergency operations were completed, traffic was allowed to resume normal flow.
